178- Father Ejected Mother Because of Her Son
Father means “whole 1.” “Ejected mother” pertains to the intellect, outside of the degree, so as not to use the intellect. Why “because of her son”? It is so he can receive the understanding, the knowledge, without blemishing with his vessels of reception.
For this reason, we begin with work above reason, where the vessels of reception cannot grip. Conversely, where the reason agrees with the work, there is a grip to the vessels of reception, or the reason would not agree to work in order to bestow.
“Father” is the first reason in the order of the work. “Ejected Bina,” meaning his intellect will be outside of his boundaries, so as not to consult with the intellect about the work. “Because of her son,” since understanding comes from two opposite things.
This is called “the view of Kedusha [holiness].” Her son is considered the purpose, and the purpose of the work is for man to achieve a state where all his actions are for the sake of the Creator. This can be above reason, meaning that if reason agrees, the body evidently feels in this self-benefit, or it would not agree to it.
