314- Smallness and Greatness
“And I will give the reward of the light of seeing to Atik Yomin.” He interprets in the Sulam [Ladder commentary on The Zohar] that when raising MAN to receive Katnut [smallness/infancy] of Bina, called VAK, this is the reward of Atik Yomin (The Zohar, Idra Raba, Item 188).
We should understand why Katnut of Bina is regarded as reward for Atik Yomin. We can interpret that because he agrees to receive Katnut, which is Hassadim, regarded as above reason, by this he can give him Gadlut [greatness/adulthood].
It is as though someone received a salary and by this he bestows upon him in return for the salary that he received. It is likewise here: By taking upon himself the sweetening of Bina, which is covered Hassadim, he can later receive revealed Hassadim. For this reason, this is regarded as “reward,” which is also called “fissured the Galgalta.”
