333- He Who Begins a Mitzva [Commandment]
Sivan, Tav-Shin-Mem-Aleph, May-June 1982
“He who begins a Mitzva is told, ‘Finish it,’” as in “He who comes to purify is aided.” For this reason, he who begins a Mitzva, meaning comes to purify, is told from above, “Finish it,” meaning he is given power from above. This is the meaning of “All beginnings are hard,” since he must begin, but afterward he receives assistance from above.
