The entire force of multiplicity
In the world
Is a spiritual force,
Unique and wondrous.
Accordingly,
Any holism is
Praiseworthy and appealing,
Since it stems from
The spiritual force.
Each individualism
Is low and contemptible.
This difference distinguishes
Between the self-centered individual
And one who is devoted to his nation.
Thus, the first moral is
That being devoted to one’s nation
Is more important than being devoted to one’s town,
And being devoted to the world
Is more important than being devoted to one’s nation.
