This is What You Should Take    

We need to be mixed in with the world to a necessary extent in order to advance spiritually

Baal HaSulam and Rabash tell us that we need only the external things from the external world such as bread, water, various services, communication tools, etc. Everything that is essential in my life, which is, to circulate, to advance professionally, etc. I take from the world just like everyone else. Since these things influence me, there is no other way; I need to limit myself in advance, know what I am doing, and what I am exposing myself to.

Rabash used to listen only to the beginning of the news, the first two minutes, the headlines, in order to know what was happening in the world. But he wouldn't listen to any of the commentaries. We also need to mingle with the other created beings but only in a necessary way, in order to progress spiritually, but not to let too much confusion enter us.
