Question: You were saying that the whole situation, if we take our nation at the moment...
Dr. Laitman: Oh, our nation is a separate issue?
Question: It's an issue?
Dr. Laitman: We have a very big problem, because we possess the method. And the fact that we detain all of humanity from arriving at perfection and eternity, so we feel it back from all of humanity. So anti-Semitism begins to grow again and all the nations-even those who don't know us, who we've never had any connection with-also subconsciously feel that something depends on us, that we are to blame for everything that is happening in the world. It's not simple; it's rooted in all the souls in their root. And it's true, we are to blame-we are to blame-yes.
This may be another issue, which is very wide and very delicate, but that's the way it is. And we are the 'chosen people' because we possess the method, the wisdom of Kabbalah, which actually lifts humanity above this world. To the extent that we don't manage to do it in time, that we don't understand and refuse to acknowledge that it is our duty to serve as a Light for the other nations, to this extent we bring upon ourselves trouble.
Baal HaSulam says that if we don't want to come close by ourselves, the powers that will force us to attain spirituality, to attain the purpose of creation, will be very hard and cruel. Therefore, very bad times lie ahead.
That's why we, so to speak, come out of our hiding and we really ask for the attention of the people of Israel to really see that here in this wisdom, in this ancient method which is now being revealed, that it is being revealed in order to save us. We as the chosen people first have to adopt this method ourselves and then use it to bring the whole world to Tikkun (correction). It is written in The Zohar and all the Kabbalists write about it in their books, and I hope that we will succeed; otherwise our situation here in the land of Israel and all over the world, as a nation and as Jews in general, will be very unpleasant. It will be very unpleasant. It is already unpleasant.
Question: Are you saying it will be more unpleasant?
Dr. Laitman: But we're still here sitting and talking...
Question: Oh, I see.
Dr. Laitman: , it's still very different from what's approaching. And this obliges us to appear in all kinds of media channels, and to reach the people and to awaken them because our fate and the world's fate depend only on this.
Question: And according to The Zohar or Baal HaSulam, will we succeed in doing it?
Dr. Laitman: We... Let's hope we will. Because, after all, the interest in the wisdom of Kabbalah, as it seems now, is growing. It begins to attract and to interest people. The global crisis and the despair in the world and drugs, all of this pushes humanity into a search. And I hope that we, on our part, will be able to present this wisdom in an easier way; in a way that is closer to the nation. And so we will succeed.
Question: Succeed, what did I say? We must succeed! No choice. Okay, let's hope we succeed.Talks and Interviews
